Facebook family plans first-ever non-virtual meet

Facebook family plans first-ever non-virtual meet

======================================
 BCR NEWS (NEW DELHI) November 3rd . At a time when Social Media is being blamed for damaging social interactions and causing loneliness, there is a group of people who have proved otherwise. They are organizing the world’s first non-virtual meeting of a Facebook family in Delhi on November 15. They have used this virtual platform to develop real relations and come closer.

It is for the first time that more than 500 members of a 5000-strong virtual family will come face-to-face with each other. People from all over the country, and some even from the US, are coming to be a part of this event.

SSFB Family, as they call themselves, got connected on the Facebook page of Sanjay Sinha, and over a period of a year, they have formed real-life relations with each other – as mother-son, sister-brother, uncles, aunts and many more. They say these relations will be strong and long lasting as they have created these themselves with their heart.

It all started when Sanjay Sinha turned to Facebook in November last year after the sudden demise of his younger brother. He has been posting a heartfelt article every day since then. Each of his post focuses on human relations and emotions. At that time, there were only 28 people in his friend list. Soon, the number reached 5,000 and what makes this group special is that most of the members got connected with each other. They share their experiences and even discuss their problems with each other. On this virtual platform, a family has been born with earnest and heartfelt bonds.

It is going to be a one-of-a-kind programme when they will come out of this wireless world and meet each other.  A delighted head of this FB Family, Sanjay Sinha, informed that each family member is excited at the prospect. Many of them have already booked their tickets. They are coming only for this from far and near – from Bangalore, Kolkata, Patna, Ranchi, Kodarma, Himachal, Jaipur, Indore, Bhopal, Dehradun, Kanpur, Aurangabad, Nagpur, Jabalpur, Bilaspur, Hardoi, Mathura, Agra, Varanasi, Allahabad, Mumbai, Aligarh, Rewa, Ujjain, and Pune. The entire event is being planned and organized by the “family” members over the Net. It will be also be hosted by his Facebook siblings.

On the occasion, a book compilingsome of the posts from his Facebook page, will also be released. Not to mention, it will be released by his FB mother, the one he has found on the Facebook. There is no VIP in the programme; everyone is a VIP, says Sanjay Sinha.

He says this is history in the making. The way this tale of relationships is being created on Facebook is a unique experiment. It is interesting to see that when our busy life is affecting our real-life relations, new bonds are growing on the Internet. That’s because these bonds grow out of understanding. According to him relations are not formed only by blood; heart, too, can make relatives, and such ties are preservedmore sincerely.
